Vinyl? Why are we doing downloads first as opposed to it? The answer might surprise you.
Hardcore is produced digitally on computers and engineered on computers. VSTs are digital, and so are the WAV samples used for drums and the like. Even vocals are recorded digitally (ever tried doing vocals with onboard sound? yikkkk, terrible) so shouldn't masters be digital?
BeavPound mastering does not do vinyl mastering. instead we manipulate the audio recording for the right equalizations, pitch, volume, and clarity for it to sound good on as many audio players as possible, from a 10,000 stereo to a cheap 10 dollar pair of earbuds.
The argument that vinyl sounds richer becomes invalid since our stuff would merely come from a digital master. Honestly, I only see hardcore vinyl being of use to DJs doing mixing since the format is more versatile for tactile scratching in mixes and there's no lag due to encoding.
thus beavpound vinyl can wait.
